The Citizens Assembly is a 12-month online programme to develop a project to help achieve the Global Goals in your country. As a member of the United For 2030 Citizens Assembly, you will take part in a 12-month programme to develop a project that can help achieve a Global Goal in your country. The programme is completed entirely online using a range of tools, so you can contribute from anywhere to help achieve the Global Goals. You will be guided through the process of identifying a problem, creating a solution and making it a reality with the support of experts from across the world.
United For 2030 is a We Make Change community in partnership with The International Development House and the United Nations Association Westminster Young Professionals. They are all organizations run by young people who were frustrated that the Global Goals can seem irrelevant and inaccessible to our generation. They started United For 2030 to provide any young person with a simple way to support the Global Goals.
Program Details
- Jan 2019: Ideation
You start to get the ideas flowing with your country team members at our 48 hour online United For 2030 Hackathon! The Hackathon is where you will start to develop ideas for achieving the Global Goals within your country.
- Feb-Mar 2019: Research and development
This is your chance to further develop your idea by working with your team and mentor to ensure your project will help achieve the Global Goals.
- Apr-May 2019: Team Building
Identify the skills you need to make your project a reality and recruit new team members to help make it happen.
- Jun-Nov 2019: Impact
This is the implementation phase where your team actively work together to implement your project.
- Dec 2019: Summit
The end of the year will culminate with the United For 2030 Summit. Teams present the impact their projects have made to experts and influencers from across the world at our global online summit.
- Alumni
- Once you have completed the programme, you will become a member of the United For 2030 Alumni.
- You will be able to continue your project to help achieve a Global Goal in your country and around the world.
- As a member of the Alumni, you will gain access to exclusive opportunities and events.
