University of Montreal 2025 Scholarships: Study for Free in Canada !

The University of Montreal Scholarships for 2025-2026 provide outstanding opportunities for international students to achieve their academic goals with full tuition fee exemptions. These scholarships are open to students from around the world and are available for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs. Financial support can reach up to $27,300 per year.

In addition, more than 7,000 Canadian permanent residents choose UdeM each year. Scholarship Coverage of University of Montreal Scholarships

University of Montreal Scholarships will provide the following benefits:

  • Undergraduate

The strength of your academic record is the only criterion for evaluation to determine the amount of the scholarship. The results of the analysis are ranked according to the following three levels:

    • Level A: $13,740.60 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $6,870.30 per session (15 credits) or $458.02 per credit
    • Level B: $6,548.40 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $3,274.20 per session (15 credits) or $218.28 per credit

These amounts are applied to tuition fees.

  • Masters

To help you with your graduate studies as an international student, we offer a partial scholarship. This scholarship reduces the extra tuition fees that international students usually pay.

    • Research: $15,150.00 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $5,050.00 per session (equivalent to 15 credits) or $336.66 per credit
    • Non-Research: $10,788.75 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $3,596.25 per session (equivalent to 15 credits) or $239.75 per credit

Eligibility for Montreal Scholarships 2025

To be eligible, the candidate must:

  • Have received an offer of admission to a study program at UdeM (as of Fall 2020)
  • Not be enrolled in an independent study program or short undergraduate program as of the Winter 2024 session, e.g., certificate, major, minor, short program or preparatory year program for university studies
  • Have valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit) for all sessions of their study program
  • Be continuously enrolled full time (unless absence is approved) for their entire study program
  • Not benefit from another form of tuition fee exemption

If one of the above conditions is not met, the UdeM exemption scholarship may be withdrawn.
