Applications have opened for the Full Scholarships in the UK at the University of Edinburgh. Interested candidates can apply until 24th February 2020. The University is providing scholarships for a Ph.D. degree in the field of History.

The University of Edinburgh’s  Migration and Diaspora Hub is offering William R. McFarlane Scholarships from candidates accepted into a Ph.D. program in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology commencing in the academic year 2020.

Eligibility

The candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the full scholarships in the UK at the University of Edinburgh

  • The University must have accepted the candidates into the Ph.D. program at the University’s School of History, Classics, and Archeology.
  • Additionally, the research interest must be in the field of history of Scottish migration or related diaspora themes.
  • Also, the candidates should hold a UK 2.1 or first-class honors undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Furthermore, they should demonstrate excellence in academic performance in a postgraduate master’s degree in a relevant field, or be on course to do so.
