Undergraduate Merit-Based Scholarship 

Merit-based Scholarship offers scholarships to academically talented students that don’t have the opportunity to take standardized U.S tests such as the SAT and ACT.

• International new freshman with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on the US 4.0 scale
• Likewise, Unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman

Amount

One-time award ranges from $2,000-$15,000 will be distributed to an awardee who has been selected for this merit-based scholarship

International Kent Freshman Scholarship

The International Freshman Scholarship program is available to any non-immigrant to the United States who is an incoming New Freshman student to Kent State University. This merit-based scholarship may vary in the amount awarded to the student.

Admission Requirements & Eligibility

• New freshman only (transfers are not eligible); Fall admission only
• Further, Minimum cumulative Secondary school GPA 3.6 on the US 4.0 scale
• Likewise, a 27 ACT Composite,1260 new SAT or 1210 old SAT Critical Reading & Math
• Also, Unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman

Application Deadline 

• Students must have been admitted to Kent State University by February 1st.
• Further, the Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award in April.

Amount

A renewable award will be distributed to qualifying individuals, range from $2,000 to $20,000 per year

International Kent Civic Engagement Scholarship

Deadline

The application deadline for the Fall semester is April 1 while the application deadline Spring semester is October 1.
