The Creation Grant Program provides funding to Indigenous artists, artistic groups, and culture carriers within Newfoundland and Labrador for the creation, development, exhibition, and transfer of knowledge related to an art form or artistic practice. This pilot project provides funding opportunities to Indigenous artists at any stage of their artistic career, working in all disciplines.
The grant covers research, development, creation, presentation and transmission of knowledge related to artistic work. This includes arts/cultural training and mentorships, and initiatives that pass on cultural knowledge through artistic practice.
There are two funding streams available:
A maximum of $15,000 may be awarded to an applicant annually, across all ArtsNL programs (excluding funding through the Professional Artist Travel Fund and the Accessibility Support Fund).

Artists can apply as:
Activities including collaborations between Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists must be Indigenous-initiated, Indigenous-led and Indigenous-benefiting.
