Non Architecture in association with Casa Da Música announces International Non Architecture Competition: Re-Draw. According to Casa Da Música, the realm of non architecture is the counterpart of Architecture (everything designed/built).  A world of unexplored designs and countless possibilities, that if found, could enlarge as well as change the boundaries of Architecture permanently. Hence, Non Architecture competitions is an initiative pointed at finding and bringing forward these valuable alternative proposals.

The aim of the “Re-Draw” Non Architecture competition is to develop one visual to ‘represent’ an iconic architecture by including innovative and creative international participants. Further, the participants may draft one image, with absolute freedom of scale, technique, and level of abstraction. Moreover, applicants must show their creativeness, criticality, and innovation.

Furthermore, the International Non Architecture Re-Draw Competition is flexible and adaptable to the participant’s interpretation. Hence, the drawing can highlight functional aspects of the building, showing a deep understanding of one or more design aspects. It can also focus on the aesthetic qualities, experimenting and mastering a drawing technique with hyper-realistic outcomes, or it can be an optical deformation, a caricatural interpretation, a distant abstraction of the built architecture. Also, the drawing can strengthen a conventional interpretation of architecture, or explore a new angle, a new point of view, intellectual and/or physical. Moreover, the applicants may portray the building as a whole, a part, or a collage of disconnected moments.

Non Architecture Competitions will award only one winner, selected by the jury collectively, and 6 honorable mentions, selected by each juror individually.

Eligibility

Non Architecture Competitions are open to all human beings, from every age and cultural background, working in groups or individually.

How To Apply

To register, you may apply online. Applicants must register before the deadline. Further, to participate in the competition you will require to pay an entry fee.
