Nature Photographer of the Year is a Nature Photography contest that celebrates the artistry of nature photography. It provides fantastic prizes for you to win including our top prize of €3000,- cash for the overall winner, plus other great cash prizes as well as cool photo equipment. When you enter our nature photo competition you will also help various nature conservations projects throughout the world. During the yearly Nature Talks Photo Festival on the 9/10th of November 2019 in the Netherlands, the winners will be announced. Moreover, the winners will attain an opportunity to present their works in a photo exhibition at the festival before it will be traveling through the Netherlands and Belgium. Further, the photography competition is open in 12 categories.

Nature Photographer of the Year Awards

In each category, the jury will determine a winning image, a runner-up and 3 highly commended photos. The winners of a category will receive € 500 in prize money (in cash). Further, the runner-ups will win prizes worth € 250 (in products). The highly commended photographers receive honor and encouragement. Also, the winner of the youth category will receive a prize worth € 250 (in products). While the runner-up in this category will receive a prize worth € 125 (in products).

Moreover, the category winner of the Landscapes of “de Lage Landen” will win a long weekend stay in a Buitenleven vakanties vakantiewoning, a holiday home in a spectacular natural setting!

In addition, from the 10 category winners, the jury will choose one overall winner who may call him- or herself Nature Photographer of the Year 2019. Next, to the category prize, the overall winner will receive a prize to the value of € 2500 (in cash). In total the overall winner will get € 3000 in prize money (in cash)!

How to apply for the Nature Photographer of the Year Awards?

Participants wishing to enter the competition will require to pay the registration fee. Further, the participants may fall into one of the four categories:

• Standard: €25
• Portfolio: €15
• Standard + Portfolio: €40
• Young (10-17 years): No entry fee

Moreover, the participants will require to register as well as pay the entry fee online.  Only then the images submitted by the participants are eligible for consideration in the Nature Photographer of the Year Awards.

Deadline

The Nature Photographer of the Year accepts the images sent in until September 1st, 2019 23:59 hrs (GMT). Past the deadline, the submissions are ineligible for consideration the photography contest.
