The WHO announces fellowship for the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (WHO/EMRO). WHO is the directing and coordinating authority on international health within the United Nations system. WHO has 194 Member States and more than 7000 people working in 150 country offices, in 6 regional offices and at headquarter in Geneva. This program offers fellowships in the offices of the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
Further, the WHO Fellows@ERM program has three objectives:
Most fellowships are available in health-related programs, although it is possible for a candidate to seek fellowship in other areas. This include communication, external relations, finance or human resources are also possible.
Moreover, the fellowship provides a monthly stipend as well as travel allowance depending on the fellow’s location.
Under the supervision of a technical expert in the respective area, WHO fellows will take assignment on a project which will require the fellows to perform several tasks including:
Candidates are eligible for the WHO Fellowship at Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office if their qualifications align with the following terms:
Afghanistan, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Somali, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen
Candidates can apply for the WHO Fellowship program at ERMO via completing and submitting the online application form. While submitting the applications, the candidates will require to submit necessary documentation including a CV; a transcript of academic qualification; letter of interest; as well as reference letters.
The deadline to apply for the Fellowship at Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office is on 7 August 2019. WHO will consider the applications invalid should they arrive after the deadline.
