The Royal Society calls applicants for the Royal Society Athena Prize for 2020. The teams working in the UK’s academic and research communities, who have contributed most to the advancement of diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) will receive the Royal Society Athena Prize biennially (in even years)within their communities. Furthermore, the recipients of the prize receive a medal and a gift of £5,000.

The applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the nomination of the Royal Society Athena Prize
The Royal Society has a broad range of medals including the Premier Awards, subject-specific
awards and medals celebrating the communication and promotion of science. All of these work to
recognize and celebrate excellence in science
