Job Description

The Faculty of Science and Engineering of Maastricht University is founding, together with its partners, an innovative research institute in Future Farming at the Bright lands Greenport Campus Venlo. Also, the Bright lands Future of Farming Institute covers areas from plant functional genomics and plant envirogenetics to sustainable plant farming systems. Additionally, at this moment, we are especially looking for experts in the field of sustainable plant farming systems to become founding full professors at this new institute.

Requirements

  • A PhD in a relevant field;
  • Also, a strong track record in research and teaching at an internationally competitive level.
  • Furthermore, proven success in funding acquisition at the national and/or European level.
  • Moreover, extensive experience with supervising PhD students.
  • Additionally, enthusiasm to substantially contribute to the development of the new institute;
  • Aldo, fluency in English.

Conditions for Employment

  • An official workweek of 38 hours
  • Also, a gross month salary between € 5.749,- and max. € 10.106.
  • Furthermore, partially paid parental leave.
  • Additionally, a pension scheme.
  • The option to participate in collective healthcare insurance.
  • Likewise, a one-time reimbursement of your relocation costs if you are moving to Maastricht from more than 40 kilometers away.
