Job Summary:
Coordinates collection, analysis, processing & reporting of data & assists Principal Investigator (PI) in judging the validity of test data obtained in regard to biomedical &/or social-behavioral research study(ies) of limited complexity involving co-investigators, multiple campuses &/or universities. Also, completes all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance. Likewise, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB). Furthermore, food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
Duties:
- Recruits study participants.
- Reviews & obtains informed consent.
- Similarly, schedules study visits with participants.
- Conducts interviews
- Likewise, Escorts participants to study activities
- Scores test results.
- Also, collects survey data.
- Furthermore, facilitates communication with key personnel & participants to maintain project study flow.
- Moreover, may process reimbursements for travel expenses.
- Monitors & distribute petty cash.
- Processes invoices &/or purchase requisitions.
- Similarly, coordinates fund distribution among multiple sponsors and clinical sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Moreover, must complete NU’s IRB CITI training before interacting with any participants & must re-certify every 3 years.
Minimum Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail required
- Also, ability to multitask and strong organization skills
- Experience working with teams
- Additionally, excellent demeanor and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
Preferred Competencies:
- Interest in neuroscience or communication sciences
- Prior experience in human subjects research
- Likewise, prior experience working with adults with cognitive impairments.
