Duties:
- Develop clinical and simulation schedules for faculty and students
- Ensure that clinical and simulation experiences meet state and accreditation requirements with appropriate documentation of evidence
- Also, plan, implement, and evaluate student clinical capstone experiences
- Develop and maintain clinical relationships with regional health partners
- Moreover, maintain high, mid, and low fidelity simulation equipment and collaborate faculty education from simulation and clinical partners
- Identify and apply for funding opportunities to develop simulations and/or clinical experiences
- Likewise, teach each at least one course per semester [as necessary] in area of nursing expertise
- Engage in professional development that benefits the nursing department and students
Qualification:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Pennsylvania and all current clearances, certifications, and health requirements
- Also, doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution with a focus in Nursing or closely related profession or current enrollment with completion within 3 years preferred; Master of Science in Nursing required
- Expertise in the nursing discipline as recognized at the regional, national, or international level; preferred Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and/or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)
- Likewise, prior classroom, clinical, or simulation instruction experience at the university level
- Experience supervising university faculty, staff, and students to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate performance
- Moreover, evidence of sustained scholarly productivity as indicated by publications, grants, continuing education, and presentations
- Additionally, evidence of community contributions as indicated by volunteer opportunities, partnerships, and projects.
