The Division of Social Sciences and Education seeks a dynamic, collaborative and student-centered full-time faculty member to join the division, to teach in the field of economics. Also, the division currently offers two pathways: one in Education and another in Social Science and Criminal Justice. Likewise, the latter contains a Social Sciences program where students can focus their interests within a specific social sciences discipline.

Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will teach 30 credit hours of economics courses per year (fall and spring semesters) and provide a minimum of five office hours for student interaction per week during fall and spring semesters.
- Likewise, other responsibilities include but are not limited to design, development and assessment of course and program content.
- Also, all full-time faculty participate in college service, for example by serving on departmental and college committees and supporting initiatives that meet the division’s core work.
- All faculty make themselves available to advise students on program requirements.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in the field of economics required. Earned doctoral degree in economics would be an asset
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience required; experience teaching in community college, preferred
- Moreover, demonstrated experience in teaching Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics
- Demonstrated experience of teaching using a range of teaching and learning methods/pedagogies.
- Additionally, ability to create inclusive learning environments for heterogeneous groups of learners.
- Successful candidates should demonstrate ease of using technology and software applications including Microsoft Office
- Also, demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications
- Experience using a Learning Management System
