Duties:
- Analyze many proposals at one time while interpreting and adhering to all necessary guidelines and policies.
- Furthermore, fully monitor and facilitate the Project Information and Navigation System (PINS process ensuring all fields are correctly answered-and align with the RFP and scope of work, and that all necessary information is loaded into the record.
- Communicate effectively with faculty and support staff any recommended or necessary changes to improve the compliance and competitiveness of proposals.
- Also, develop the skills to offer hands-on and one-on-one training to faculty and staff on the proper procedures for building an acceptable proposal budget, and complying with the COS CRO timelines.
- Become familiar with all necessary policies and guidelines to help ensure all proposals are compliant.
- Moreover, mathematically analyze, select, and apply the proper rules to accommodate the correct fringe rates, F&A (facilitates and administrative costs), tuition rates, and other direct costs to a proposal.
- Organize the pre award documents so they are current, complete, and easy to query.
- Likewise, coordinate with the post award team and the pre-award team lead on a regular basis to comprehend current practices and to develop procedures and guidelines to increase efficiency and streamline processes as needed.
- Additionally, manage all pending proposals and timelines, staying update with current deadlines.
Minimum Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate should write clearly and informatively; present numerical data effectively; be able to read and interpret written information.
- Also, technical Skills – Highly proficient in Google Suite, Zoom, Microsoft including:
- Likewise, Excel, PowerPoint and Word and in Adobe. Advanced Excel skill set including formulas and functions. Ideal applicant should be able to work productively with faculty and a diverse set of individuals. Also, should demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

- Pre-Award proposal processing, review, and budget experience. Also, familiarity with Access database management, and campus online systems (PINS, RADAR. Familiarity with, Cost Accounting Standards, UG Uniform Guidance. Furthermore, Federal, State, and Industry research policy and procedures.. Willingness to work towards Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator (CPRA) or similar designation. Familiarity with gmail filing/labeling, and the google drive.
