Description:

The office in Colombia is responsible for promoting and developing the Bank’s strategies and programming with the country. Also, the office supports the process, negotiation and administration of specific projects and programs; promotes and coordinates the use of funds administered by the Bank or under parallel financing agreements; and monitors procurement activities related to operations carried out by borrowers and beneficiaries of the Bank.

Duties:

• Support and provide the preparation, supervision and closure of development projects, with special emphasis on multi-year planning; risk identification, and monitoring of the indicators established in the results matrix.
• Moreover, maintain a close relationship with the executing agencies of the sectors under their charge, responding to their queries, training needs and other requirements.
• Additionally, review procurement processes; Analyze and process disbursement requests, determining their relevance and eligibility for expenditures.
• Similarly, support the operations manager in the comprehensive management of the portfolio in each of the project stages and propose recommendations for the adequate coordination of the projects.
• Also, support the preparation of reports requested by senior management, including the country strategy and the operational program report.

Requirements:

• You are a citizen of Colombia or a citizen of one of our 48 member countries with a legal or residence permit to work in Colombia.
• Also, you have no relatives who work in the IDB Group.
•  Moreover, master’s degree in economics, finance, international relations, engineering, or related careers.
•  Likewise, you have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in activities related to project management in the public sector, preferably financed with resources from multilateral banks.
• Languages: Spanish and English with oral and written command.
