
Applications for the 2022 Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships for applicants from Low and Middle-Income countries are now open. These scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office – FCDO. The Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships aim to enable talented and motivated individuals to gain knowledge and skills. Those Skills are required for sustainable development and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.
Applicants must be graduates who are nationals of one of the eligible countries, who are undertaking a Ph.D. program at their home University and are interested in spending a 12-month period of study at any approved UK university or higher education in the UK. The scholarships aim to widen access to UK equipment and expertise for high-quality doctoral candidates from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries. Scholarships will also contribute to UK and Commonwealth higher education and research through collaboration and partnerships.

Applicants must first apply for a study stay at their preferred UK university which has a part funding agreement with the CSC. Stays are usually for a period of 12 months. Please see a full list of participating Universities here
