TCC Hawaii invites faculty, support professionals, librarians, counselors, student affairs professionals, graduate students, administrators, as well as consultants interested in learning technologies and evolving practices to submit proposals for online presentations.

Theme

The TCC 2022 Online Conference invites proposals for presentations as well as papers relevant to online teaching and learning with emerging technologies and transforming learning in innovative environments.

The theme of the conference is the ongoing transformation of online instruction in response to the pandemic, what we have learned, as well as what innovations will transform learning in the future. The coordinators are also interested in continuing to build our community of colleagues.

Proposals

This conference continues to accept proposals in two primary formats: papers as well as general sessions.

To encourage networking and community building, we encourage proposals for other engaging formats.

Submit papers in full and subjected to a double-blind peer review. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings as well as considered for publication in the International Journal for Educational Media and Technology.

Conduction of the general sessions can be in various ways including a forum, discussion, roundtable, panel, or pre-conference activity. These proposals have peer-review prior to acceptance.

Proposals that involve student presenters are highly encouraged. There will be a fee waiver for the conference fees for student presenters.

Acceptances will be conveyed to the primary author or presenter by email.

Presenter Responsibilities

  • Participate in a pre-conference orientation session on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
  • Use a headset with a microphone during the presentation.
  • In addition, maintain timely communications with the conference staff.
  • Present an informal as well as interactive online session related to your proposal.
  • Also, upload a photo, a brief professional bio, and related presentation materials.
  • Moreover, respond to questions and comments from participants during the entire conference.

Registration

All presenters are required to register online and pay the online conference fee ($99 USD; $129 USD after Thursday, March 31) or register as a group member.

Volunteer Internships

The conference team has openings for two volunteer interns. Selected individuals will join the conference team, learn how an online conference is produced, and work together with team members. The anticipated commitment is 4-8 hours per week beginning January 2022.
