Purpose

Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President for Academic Programs and Dean, Undergraduate & Graduate Studies, the Administrative Analyst/Specialist assists in leading, developing, overseeing, and supporting administrative and fiscal operations of the Office of Academic Programs and Undergraduate & Graduate Studies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry into this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administrations principles, practices, and methods. Additionally,  a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis. And, evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Duties

  • Coordinates Dean’s role in the academic probation/disqualification appeal process for undergraduate and graduate studies, culminating academic activities, international and domestic academic articulations, and program development.
  • Also, he/she remains up-to-date on relevant campus, CSU, state, and federal policies, including FERPA.
  • Additionally, the incumbent develops, maintains, and analyzes the Undergraduate and Graduate Studies (UGS) budgets, and coordinates budget planning, analysis, tracking, reporting, and management functions of the various units reporting to the AVP/Dean.
  • Also, develops budget and full-time equivalency (FTE) projections and planning tools for these units.
  • Likewise, he/she participates in the development, analysis, and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Likewise, he/she develops, interprets, and applies specific operating policies in organizing, performing the administrative activities.
  • Furthermore, he/she performs in-depth research and analysis and prepares reports with reliable recommendations and conclusions.
