The Physical Therapy Department at the University of Michigan-Flint is currently searching for an internal candidate for the Associate Director of Research and Scholarship position. The length of this appointment will initially be for 1.5 years in length and may be renewed.

Acquisitions and Electronic Resources Librarian

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the PTD Management Team in accordance with the PTD Faculty Governance Policy
  • Administer, facilitate as well as manage support activities related to PTD program and individual research agendas
  • Participate in an annual review of personal as well as departmental outcomes and processes related to research and scholarship with the PTD Director
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current University of Michigan-Flint Physical Therapy clinical or tenure-track assistant/associate or full professor who holds the needed experience and education outlined below:
    • Graduate of a CAPTE accredited physical therapist professional program or equivalent preferred or 5 years teaching experience in a physical therapist education program
    • Doctoral education in physical therapy or a related area
    • Earned academic doctorate (PhD preferred) in physical therapy or related discipline
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, as well as interpersonal skills
    • Ability to design and implement program assessment and interpret outcomes
    • In addition, member of the American Physical Therapy Association
    • Active in professional activities at local, state, and/or national levels
    • Able to travel as needed
    • Moreover, tenured or tenure track  faculty rank with a record of scholarly activity preferred
