Purpose

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is seeking a Digital Media Designer who can work in a multi-disciplinary team to bring to life strategies, stories, and ideas. Additionally, this person is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a variety of digital media ranging from the podcast to virtual reality. Likewise, this position will report to and work closely with the Production Manager, Office of Digital Education to create and incubate a collection of new, exciting, and groundbreaking digital offerings.

Responsibilities

Digital Media Design/Delivery

  • Act as a creative lead for digital media production (podcasts/videocasts)
  • Also, create, record, and edit digital media for online transmission
  • Source all relevant resources, including equipment, content, and guests
  • Likewise, conceptualize, create, and prepare media of different styles that support all disciplines at Ross
  • Also, collaborate with the video production team on the creation and production of video assets
  • Film and direct on-site and in-studio video content for curricular and co-curricular use
  • Additionally, collaborate with Ross faculty to ideate on digital asset creations and identify opportunities to incorporate multimedia and video components

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of related experience
  • Extensive experience in sound and video editing
  • Demonstrated experience empathizing with a variety of diverse audiences
  • Also, experience and knowledge of higher education environment
  • Likewise, progressive experience in project management and people management including successful launch and implementation of new initiatives
  • Also, demonstrated initiative, independent judgment, diplomacy, and a service-oriented attitude
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and problem-solving, as well as the ability to act independently
  • Furthermore, organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload under time constraints and conflicting demands
  • Also,  to work well in a multicultural and collaborative environment
  • Additionally, the ability to storyboard ideas for approval
