Duty/Responsibility

The web application developer is part of the software application development team and is responsible for assisting in the development of web-based software applications. Also, the primary duties of this position include writing code for web application interfaces, applying software development best practices, and testing and debugging web applications.

Position Minimum Qualifications

• The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
• Moreover, minimum of a bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) or equivalent work experience
• Also, at least one year of professional experience in web development using JavaScript
• Similarly, strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the following technologies is desirable:

• Back-end programming languages (PHP preferred)
• Also, git or other version control system
• Furthermore, front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap
• JavaScript data visualization libraries such as Highcharts
• Likewise, web mapping libraries such as Open Layers
• Moreover, linux, Docker proficiency
• SQL, relational databases
• Similarly, geographic information systems (GIS)
