Summary:

Description of Job:
All responsibilities of faculty members at CSU Pueblo are in accordance with the Faculty Handbook. The Faculty Handbook is the authoritative guide on specific requirements with regard to teaching assignments, scholarly activity, research, and service.
Duties
The incumbent will have following duties for Vacancy for Assistant Professor in the USA:
- Teach baccalaureate courses in the Health Sciences program in accordance with program needs.
- Also, administering appropriate evaluation of student performance; selecting and ordering texts; preparing, administering, and grading assignments; and assigning final grades.
- Participating in service to the university and profession; Participate in committees, campus meetings, University functions, graduation, professional service work and other duties.
- Furthermore, participating in recruitment or retention activities, program review, assessment, strategic planning or other assistance to the department.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Public Health, Health Promotion or related field or receiving D.Ph. or PhD by May 2021.
- Experience and/or commitment to the use of technology as an instructional tool/pedagogy including teaching hyflex, hybrid, synchronous or asynchronous online courses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health and/or significant progress toward a doctorate.
- Experience and/or commitment to work within a standards and performance based teaching models.
- Also, evidence of scholarly work.
- Likewise, interest in teaching and providing leadership in a growing academic program.
- Similarly, strong collegial and collaborative skills.
- Moreover, willingness to teach a broad range of courses.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with other programs through the Center for Integrated Health and Human Inquiry.
- Education or training for teaching classes in hybrid, synchronous online and/or asynchronous online modality.
- Likewise, successful experience in college teaching.
- Furthermore, prior professional background in related non-academic positions in Public or Community Health.
- Additionally, experience with and commitment to work with diverse student and community populations and commitment to equity in education at all levels.
