The Division of Architecture at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Architecture and Engineering Technology (SAET) is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Assistant Professor vacancy.

Responsibilities

The incumbent must meet the following for Vacancy for Assistant Professor in the USA:

• The Division of Architecture at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Architecture and Engineering Technology (SAET) invites applications for 3 tenure track positions in architecture at the rank of Assistant Professor.
• Also, the appointment will be at the rank and salary that commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
• Likewise, the successful candidate(s) will be offered a full-time position to participate in scholarly and/or professional research activities, teach undergraduate and graduate design studios, lecture courses and seminars in their area of expertise, provide service to the school and university, and help in program development.

Minimum Qualifications

A NAAB accredited professional architecture degree or international equivalent; or an advanced degree at the Masters or Doctorate level.

Recommended Competencies

• Evidence of a design centered professional practice and licensure;
• Likewise, evidence of excellence in beginning design or upper-level studio teaching;
• Also, ability to integrate current digital technology in teaching and making; and
• Additionally, ability to teach building technology, architecture theory/history or professional practice courses.
