The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Department of Pharmacy Systems, Outcomes and Policy invites nominations and applications for two full-time, nine-month tenure track positions, at the rank of assistant professor, with training and expertise in areas aligned with the Department’s strategic plan.
A PhD or PharmD with additional postdoctoral research education or training is required. Also, candidates should have research training and/or experience in at least one of the following areas: health economics, pharmacoeconomic, pharmacoepidemiology, health outcomes research etc. Also, pharmacy systems and outcomes, public health, health disparities and/or related fields. Additionally, it is strongly desirable, that the candidate possess a PharmD or other professional degree.
The selected candidates should establish and maintain a strong extramurally funded research program in an appropriate field aligned. With the areas of emphasis outlined in the department’s strategic plan. Additionally, these areas include pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research, pharmacy systems and policy, pharmacoepidemiology. Likewise drug safety, and pharmaceutical education. Furthermore, the selected candidates also should teach professional (PharmD). And graduate courses and mentor/advise PharmD and graduate students in the PSOP department. Additionally, faculty members should support the PharmD and PSOP department’s graduate programs. Including developing, teaching and coordinating courses in both programs. Moreover, salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Additionally, the successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S.
