Duties

The Smeal Center for Global Business Studies seeks Scholars for a writer/editor position. Someone who has a background in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or related field. Additionally, the University is eager to talk with anyone who can acquire and prepare written material for publication, in book form. Additionally, the books editor’s duties will include organizing and evaluating manuscript copy, accepting, or rejecting it, rewriting, correcting spelling and grammar, researching, and fact-checking.

Furthermore, you will work directly with other student researchers and writers and interact with the Center’s director, Dr. Fariborz Ghadar, the William A. Schreyer Professor of Global Management, Policies, and Planning. Dr. Ghadar is a leading authority on future business trends, global economic assessment, international finance and banking, and corporate strategy. Likewise, qualified candidates will interact directly with Dr. Ghadar to obtain the direction of the content, theme, and overall concept of the book. Also, the editor will assist with arranging a copy for proofs, work with artists and designers in arranging for illustrations, and determining specifications of the book.
