About the Position:
The District Director, Human Resources is a collegewide position responsible for managing and providing oversight for the human resources function and operations. Also, this position is responsible for supervision, management. Likewise, organization, planning, design, and development of all human resources function and services delivered on all campuses and satellite centers, as well as all Human Resources personnel.
Duties:
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
- Also, identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organizations success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the Human Resources management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
- Likewise, ensures the College is following and in compliance with state and federal employment, ADA, FMLA, unemployment and workers compensation laws and regulations.
- Oversees the development, issuance, maintenance, and record retention of personnel records and employment contracts.
- Additionally, administers the College’s employee health and welfare benefit plans.
- Moreover, plans, develops, implements, and manages human resource Total Rewards programs, including new employee orientation, sick leave pool, service awards, etc.
- Maintains and recommends data-driven updates to classification/compensation systems; monitors reclassification reviews and salary surveys; analyzes information, renders reports, and makes recommendations; develops and maintains position descriptions on a regular basis.
- Furthermore, receives and resolves workplace complaints, grievances and employee disciplinary problems and monitors disciplinary actions; discusses situations with staff, leadership, and attorneys; issues advice, investigates as appropriate and prepares related reports.
- Likewise, manages the annual performance evaluation process for all administrative, professional, technical, and classified staff personnel.
- Prepares items for District Board review or approval including the Personnel Actions and Salary Schedule changes, coordinates with VP, Business Administration and Finance for pre-approval.
