Function

Under the supervision of the area manager/dean, Department of Library/Learning Resources prepares, coordinates and supports the electronic distribution of instructional media at the Instructional Media Center (IMC). Also, provides support for on-demand and live streaming events, identifies and implements new technologies, and serves as the district resource on streaming media. Also, oversees the operations of District audio-visual support services and videoconferencing/data communication services.

Education

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

Experience

• Two years experience in educational media, digital media production/distribution, and multimedia operations.

Duties:

The incumbent must meet the following for Vacancy for Operations Specialist in the USA:

1. Work in conjunction with the Instructional Media Tech, Multimedia Graphic Artists, and Cable/Satellite
2. Production Specialist in the production of videos and other multimedia applications.
3. Also, assists with the day-to-day operation of the IMC.
4. Likewise, oversees the technical activities related to audio/video support services and provide distant learning and multimedia services. Coordinates satellite downlinks, and re-broadcast of teleconferences to schools or other agencies.
5. Furthermore, attends workshops, seminars, and conferences in order to keep up to date and knowledgeable with latest
6. Similarly, streaming media trends and technology.
7. Participates in District-provided in-service training programs.
8. Moreover, maintains a friendly, supportive atmosphere for students, staff, faculty, and the public.

Salary:

Salary grades consist of nine steps.  Also, changes in step placement take place on the first day of the first month following the anniversary date of attaining permanent classified employee status until the maximum of the grade.

Holidays:

There are 13 holidays observed each year. A pro-rata reduction will be made for employees working less than full-time and less than twelve months.

Vacancy:

Employees are for 12 days of vacation per year through the first five years of service to the District; 15 days after completion of five continuous years of service to the District; 20 days after completion of ten continuous years of service to the District; and 22 days after completion of 15 continuous years of service to the District. Also, this computation is based on full-time, twelve-month employment.

Sick Leave:

One day of sick leave for each month of service. This is on full-time, twelve-month employment. Additionally, a pro-rata reduction will be made for employees working less than full-time and less than twelve months. Moreover, there is no limit to the number of days of sick leave which may be accrued.
