Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology and Neuroscience within the New Jersey Medical School.

Duties:

The incumbent must meet the following for Vacancy for Postdoctoral Fellow in the USA:

  • Responsible for designing, conducting and troubleshooting experiments.
  • Likewise, responsible for applying for individual fellowships, and providing data for laboratory grant applications.
  • Additionally, assists in conducting a continuous program of research and development regarding the analytical and instrumentation functions of the laboratory, constantly evaluating existing procedures, revising where necessary, proposing new procedures where required and evaluating suggestions and changes as proposed, in order to keep the methodology and procedures current.
  • Assists with the instructing and training of fellows, students, research assistants and laboratory technicians in laboratory techniques.
  • Also, as directed, assists in the implementation of programs and projects in special areas of interest to the division or department, conferring with the individuals involved.
  • Furthermore, assists with the preparations of proposals, formal applications and justification for grant application.
  • Moreover, responsible for collecting, interpreting and publishing results.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Ph.D. in a field relevant to Neuroscience, with experience with data analysis, laboratory techniques and manuscript publishing.
  • Also, experience with rodent behavior, molecular techniques, and/or rodent surgeries is a plus.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • First author research publications
