Duties

The Subawards Associate will manage Subaward activities for assigned departments and areas within the Johns Hopkins University Research Administration (JHURA). Additionally, as requested, provide support to faculty and staff during the proposal preparation stage for Subaward determinations, or any related question that may arise from interacting in regards to Subaward administration. Review incoming Subaward action requests for completeness and compliance.

Furthermore, write and negotiate favorable Subaward terms and conditions with various domestic and foreign sponsors. Likewise, the capability to draft replacement language when applied to the project. Similarly, develop, negotiate and maintain Subawards under prime awards for all sponsor types, ensuring the proper flow-down of terms and conditions while adhering to School and University policies.

Qualifications

  • The incumbent should have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Additionally, three years’ relevant experience.
  • Also, he/she requires a detail-oriented person that is well-organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while operating under metrics for completion.
  • Furthermore, he/she must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to handle ambiguity and exercise judgment.
