There is a job vacancy for a Compliance Officer in the UN office of New York which is located in the Risk and Compliance Team of OIM. The incumbent reports to the Compliance Officer.
Under the overall supervision of the Compliance Officer, the incumbent will perform all his\her duties.
The compliance officer will be working in the UN Joint Staff Pension fund’s office of the Investment Management department.
Holds knowledge and ability to apply concepts and procedures and terminology for review, examination, and processing of a wide range of compliance-related issues.
Ability to interpret and apply legislative instruments, develop and present results, recommendations, and opinions clearly and concisely.
Also holds the ability to draft formal documents and work under pressure.

Furthermore, applicant must be fluent in English. Knowledge of any other UN official language can be an advantage.
Advanced university degree in finance, accounting, legal, mathematics, computer science or economics or related field. (Industry-recognized credentials that are compliance-related, or equivalent is desirable.)
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of experience in business ethics and corporate compliance.
The candidate should also have experience with a large and diverse investment fund or investment management firm.
In addition to this, at least three years of experience with data loss prevention, data classification, Office 365, audit logs and IT compliance issues desirable.
Also, experience with investment tools such as Bloomberg or equivalent is desirable.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience in working with auditors are also equally desirable.
UN may evaluate candidates through assessment exercises. Then you may have an interview for a further selection of the best candidate.
The selection and onboarding of the successful candidate will be in early 2022.
