Peace Direct is looking for an experienced senior manager to be its new Head of Finance and Operations.

Peace Direct is an international charity that dedicates itself to stopping wars, one person at a time. In conflict zones around the world, it supports local people to stop violence and build long term peace.

About the role

The role is an exciting mix of financial strategy & management, finance, systems improvements, compliance and operations management.

The role is varied, demanding as well as rewarding. You’d be responsible for the overall management of Peace Direct’s finances, working closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team to help strengthen the financial management of the organisation.

You’d also be responsible for leading a small team who are responsible for the finances of the organisation as well as its operations, including HR, IT and overall management and information systems.

Requirements

  • has a strong track record in financial management at a senior level.
  • be interested in the financial and non-financial aspects of the role (such as HR and Operations)
  • bring to Peace Direct a passion and energy for solving problems, communicating effectively as well as responding efficiently to a variety of competing demands on your time.
  • also be creative, calm and adaptable even under the most challenging of circumstances.
  • should adapt to the frequent changes that may arise in work

Benefits

  • annual income ranging from £50,000 to £53,000
  • 25 days annual leave not including the office closing between Christmas and New Year.
