ABOUT THE MISSION

SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL is looking for a Support Coordinator based in the capital to support the scale-up of one of its mission in Latin America.

SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL is a French humanitarian organization that provides aid and assistance to victims of war as well as natural disasters. It is currently present in about 20 countries where SI staff implements programs with professionalism and commitment whilst being mindful of respecting other cultures.

ABOUT THE JOB

General objective:

The Support Coordinator is responsible for the Logistics and the Administrative departments of her/his mission. Their general duties include:

  • steer a mission’s logistical activities in order to ensure that SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL’s in-country programs run smoothly
  • implement SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL’s mission procedures and logistical tools and ensure that they are properly used and adhered to
  • in addition, participate in defining SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL’s mission strategy, in drawing up projects and in assessing the resources needed for SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL activities
  • support the Country Director in operational security management.
  • serve as the link between headquarters and the mission for all matters relating to logistics. li
  • also serves as the link between headquarters and the mission for all administrative matters.

  3. Equipment park/Telecommunications Management
  4. Computer equipment management and monitoring
  5. Stock management
  6. Security
  7. Analysis of the socio-economic context
  8. Financial, accounting and budgetary management
  9. Cash management and Administrative management of the mission
  10. Budgetary/financial monitoring
  11. Team management
  12. HR management of expatriates and nationals
  13. Reporting/Communication/ Capitalization

The main challenges:

  1. Current scale up to be supported
  2. Opening of a new base
  3. No direct management but functional supervision
  4. Coaching and onboarding
  5. Setting up procedures and processes
  6. Support the launching of new programs
  7. Complex local regulations and frequently evolving COVID restrictions

Requirements

Education: Higher degree in Economics, Management Sciences, Logistics Management, Business Administration

Experiences:

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in Logistics & Finance / Administration management
  • Proven experience in the coordination of field support activities with multi-donor funding
  • Experience in the humanitarian environments is a prerequisite
  • Also has previous experience in a Latin American context is an asset

Skills:

  • Knowledge of humanitarian project cycles
  • Technical experience in Logistics and knowledge of SAGA and Homere are an asset
  • Strategic vision, good planning, anticipation, organization and coordination skills to deal with a large daily volume of internal and external demands
  • Resistance to stress
  • Strong sense of diplomacy and experience of working in an intercultural environment
  • Team spirit, ability to federate and coordinate team members

Language: English and Spanish are mandatory
