About:

UNV is supporting the United Nations and UN Member States with the response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The organization has also put measures in place to ensure duty of care for its currently serving 6,000 UN Volunteers, deployed with over 50 UN entity partners worldwide.

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 18 years old. Applicants must be local residents in the community of assignment.

Description of task

Under the general supervision of the Stabilization Services Centre or its representatives, the UNV will contribute to the implementation of stabilization in the ability communities.

Duties:

The incumbent must do the following duties:

• Provide the necessary assistance for the establishment of a functional alert and monitoring mechanism to protect younger generations.
• Moreover, monitor the day-to-day work of community infrastructure and support people in the sustainable development of livelihoods.
• Similarly, support Stabilization Committees in the sustainable management of community infrastructure
• Also, support the establishment and strengthening of early warning clubs;
• Furthermore, ensure data collection in the areas that will be identified and with the tools that will be provided to them.

Qualifications

Required degree level: Secondary education

Education – Additional Comments:

At least hold an undergraduate or other equivalent degree. Higher degrees would be an important asset

Required experience: 12 Months

Experience remark:

• Being a Chadian national;
• Also, being 18 years old at the time of application;
• Additionally, at least hold an undergraduate or other equivalent degree. Higher levels would be an important asset;
