  •  Save the Children International is currently recruiting a Global Strategy Lead based in our London office.
  • The Global Strategy Lead will be an integral member of the Strategy, Governance, and Member Accountability team, and will report directly to the Global Strategy Director.
  • Additionally, the Strategy team is responsible for driving forward the implementation of Save the Children’s global strategy process across the movement, monitoring progress, pre-empting challenges and ensuring its delivery.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will do the following duties

  • He/she is responsible for coordinating various pieces of the global strategic planning process, such as facilitating conversations with different functions and teams to drive a common, on-track strategy process, and socializing interim outputs with relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Moreover, the key responsibilities of this role focus on several pieces of work, including strategy development & tracking, reporting on progress to senior leaders and so on.
  • However, the Strategy team frequently must be flexible to best address the needs of the organization.
  • Accordingly, this role must be flexible as well, and will likely take on ownership of additional high-impact initiatives as needs arise.
  • Furthermore, the responsibilities of this role will require close collaboration with a broad group of stakeholders in the organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading strategy development or strategic planning in a complex organization – be it corporate for-profit, non-profit or in government.
  • Also, Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to analyze data and complex information, simplify the process and offer creative, practical solutions.
  • Additionally, Excellent facilitator, listening, influencing and negotiation skills, together with the ability to motivate others.
