Apply for Vacancy Logistics Officer at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) in Zimbabwe. CNFA is a US-based non-profit nongovernmental organization (NGO) that works to stimulate economic growth and improve rural livelihoods in the developing world.

Position Summary

The Logistics Officer is a key member of the CNFA operations team and will report to the Field Operations Coordinator. S/he will be responsible for coordinating logistics processes.

Responsibilities for Vacancy for Logistics Officer in Zimbabwe

  • Coordinate logistics operations, including, material and personnel
  • Ensure that logistics requirements take account of gender-specific needs
  • Also, assist Field Operations Coordinator to administer day-to-day administrative and operations activities
  • Additionally, coordinate logistics and procurement activities with the team;
  • Furthermore, prepare reports on material movements and other operational logistics issues,
  • Keep abreast of changes in all governmental taxes, duty fees, levies and procedures effecting procurement
  • Likewise, ensure compliance of procurement rules and procedures in the purchase of goods and services
  • Also, ensure periodic maintenance of all the equipment consulting with divisional heads

Assets Management

  • Coordinate and keep updated the records of all Operations.
  • Also, follow up on and assure the management of all these contracts
  • Additionally, timely verifying and keep updated fixed assets/inventory registers which are audit ready.
  • Moreover, ensure all have inventory tags.
  • Likewise, support the allocation and use of equipment in accordance with administration procedures and program needs
  • Monitor the maintenance and repairing of the equipment
  • Also, update equipment list and the general asset register and feed into the asset/equipment disposal plan.

Qualifications

Incumbent must meet the given eligibility requirements

  • Clean Class 4 drivers’ license and class 2 will be a plus
  • Also, at least 5 years NGO and USAID experience in logistics
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirement
  • Defensive driving
  • Additionally, good negotiating & interpersonal skills and maintain effective working relationship with partners
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizing skills
  • Also, ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision

Languages

Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. Ability to speak and understand IsiNdebele strongly preferred, other languages spoken in Matabeleland North preferred.
