DUTIES for Vacancy for Medical Officer in Switzerland 

The incumbent will have the following duties:

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to the office in cancer management and technical support.
  • Also, provide technical oversight and guidance to the development of norms and standards.
  • Additionally, ensure the development, finalization and implementation of cancer products in line with Global Health Public Goods for cancer.
  • Likewise, coordinate the development of work plans and budgets.
  • Moreover, manage the monitoring and evaluation of progress made in the implementation of the breast cancer work plans.
  • Also, identify, maintain, and coordinate relationships across other United Nations organizations or with partners.
  • Additionally, support coordination between WHO HQ departments, Regional Offices and Country Offices.
  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS for Vacancy for Medical Officer in Switzerland 

Education

  • Essential: Advanced level university degree(masters level or above) in medicine with a post-graduate degree in cancer management.
  • Desirable: Public health or epidemiology qualifications related to cancer.

Skills

Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Able to coordinate, plan and implement projects and activities with minimum supervision but work equally well as part of a team. Manage and expand global partnerships and program implementation in countries through partners.

Use of Language Skills

  • Essential: Expert knowledge of English.
  • Desirable: Intermediate knowledge of French.
