  • Moreover, The Bureau for Africa (AFR) is the USAID/Washington operating unit charged with managing USAID economic development programs in Africa.
  • The Office of Sustainable Development (AFR/SD) has the responsibility of providing technical support for these programs.
  • Therefore, the Program Analyst will provide support for the AFR/SD Education Division (AFR/SD/ED) to advance the priorities of the Agency’s Education Policy.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will do the following duties

  • He/she will assist in backstopping select Mission education teams in sub-Saharan Africa, including virtual and TDY support.
  • Also, engage in and disseminate research related to advancing the goals of the Education Policy, such as helping Missions to plan and implement necessary assessments, and provide technical support to AFR/SD/ED’s analytic agenda. Support translating results from this research into recommendations for policies and programs.
  • Similarly, represent AFR/SD/ED in relevant working groups, participate in and travel to relevant meetings, workshops, and professional conferences, and, as applicable, present findings on behalf of the Division.
  • Also, attend relevant seminars and workshops organized by institutions in the DC area.
  • Additionally, draft and/or edit reports, briefing papers, talking points, blogs, newsletter articles, journal articles, and social media input as needed.
  • Furthermore, the candidate performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The candidate must meet the following criteria for Vacancy for Program Analyst in USA at CAMRIS International

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of professional experience required. Experience in working on education issues in sub-Saharan Africa is preferred.
  • Also, CAMRIS prefers basic working French
  • Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Google applications.
  • Additionally, experience in the use of database applications
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals required.
  • Also, they should have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Likewise, he/she should demonstrate the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Furthermore, U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
