Description:

With economic growth set to decline in the Covid-19 crisis and the crisis recovery periods, it is a necessity to prevent greater deterioration of working conditions and worsening of tripartite relations amongst labor market governance institutions. Also, as an immediate response to the crisis, the Ministry of Labor and social partners developed an “Emergency Response plan” that calls for a rapid response through a range of support actions. Likewise, in support of national response plans, the project will aim to improve tripartite social dialogue mechanisms and foster bi-partite labor relations, while ensuring stronger labor administration for safe and healthy conditions at the workplace.

Duties:

• Participate in the organization of conferences, seminars, workshops, training sessions and meetings. Draft in, or translate into, local language(s) news releases, official correspondence, statements and speeches and other public information material
• Also, brief ILO specialists, and provide relevant information on project-related matters.
• Likewise, initiate a participatory approach in supporting strong, independent and capable social partners that are able to engage in effective social dialogue. Develop detailed implementation plans for the project
• Similarly, support the production of policy papers and gap analysis with recommendations for remedial action through tripartite consultations such as national and local authorities.
• Moreover, support the process of institutionalization of social dialogue and bipartite relation while ensuring the promotion of women’s equal participation and effective representation
• Also, develop the concept notes for training topics with rationale.
• Furthermore, perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education

• First level University degree in relevant field. An advanced degree in social studies would be a strong advantage.

Experience

• At least two years of professional experience at the national level in the relevant occupational area.

Languages

• Excellent command of both Arabic and English..
