There is an announcement for the Vacancy for Team Leader at Palladium Group in the UK. Interested candidates can apply for the position now. Palladium is searching for an experienced project leader with a background in international trade for an upcoming DFID-funded opportunity, TradeConnect.

Duties

The incumbent will have the following duties

  • Trade Connect will support the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Department for International Trade (DIT) and help ‘export ready’ firms in developing countries to trade internationally.
  • Additionally, it will be a market-leading initiative to promote trade with firms in DFID partner countries.
  • Working closely with private sector networks, it will export firms on the ground in Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya or Tanzania.
  • Also, the projects work across four main objectives:
  • 1) Information provision, market intelligence, process information for exporting companies
  • 2) Connecting buyers & suppliers
  • 3) TA to firms in pilot countries to become export-ready & to business support organizations
  • 4) Marketing UK trade preference agreements through in-country work and market intelligence building
  • As Team Leader, the candidate would have the opportunity to shape the strategy and implementation of this project, leading it to success and delivering on its Positive Impact goals.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in managing complex interventions, preferably in a trade-led environment
  • Additionally, Experience working with key government departments and institutions involved in investment promotion and industrial policy
  • Also, the incumbent must have experience in supporting private sector development and industrial policy
  • Furthermore, as a team leader, he/she should have a very good understanding of governance, public administration, and key private sector players
  • Similarly, strong expertise in building and managing programmatic relationships with high-level stakeholders from government, civil society, and donors
  • Also, Experience working with a donor (preferably DFID) funded programs
  • Similarly, Strong expertise in leading complex programs, including managing and mentoring senior members of staff
  • Likewise, Experience in managing complex teams
  • He/she should also have UK trade expertise, understanding of UK preferential trading arrangements and sectoral knowledge.
  • Furthermore, the incumbent should have a significant experience of trade facilitation between the UK and developing markets and trade capacity building.
