Description:

The Division of Country Health Policies and Systems (CPS) assists countries in the Region with the design and implementation of appropriate health policies and systems to strengthen universal health coverage. It works to strengthen data-driven, evidence-informed, contextually tailored health policy development and implementation at national, regional and local levels, taking an inclusive approach across the life course.

Duties:

• Support the MOH in updating and adapting relevant guidelines, materials and tools in human resources for health in line with overall service delivery approach
• Contribute to research and other analytic work on human resources for health linking it with other aspects of health system and translating global and regional evidence to country context and needs
• Also, provide technical support to strengthen the availability and use of health workforce data for health workforce planning; while taking into consideration clinical guidelines and practices
• Likewise, coordinate together with MOH joint actions such as working groups, roundtables; meetings to facilitate both health service delivery and human resource for health strategy development and implementation at national and subnational levels
• Prepare the missions for WHO staff and external consultants addressing service delivery program area and follow up on their recommendations
• Furthermore, prepare regular reports and updates to WHOCO and EURO
• Additionally, facilitate partner and stakeholder coordination in the area of human resources for health in Ukraine
• Assist in executing other tasks as requested by the WHO Representative and the Adviser on Health Policy
• Similarly, provide support to cross-office and intercountry activities
