Applications for the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship are now open for the 2019/2020 academic year.

There are many opportunities for international students in health, nursing, midwifery, social care, and psychology, at the College of Human and Health Sciences, at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. Swansea University College of Human and Health Science mission is to conduct high-quality international research achieving high ratings in the research excellence framework; deliver high-quality educational programmes, and contribute to a highly qualified health and social care workforce that meets the needs of people across the globe. In order to fulfill its mission, Swansea University holds a large number of scholarship. and fellowship programs. Among them, College of Human and Health Science offers Eira Francis Davies Scholarship.

The Eira Francis Davies Scholarship is a full tuition fee scholarship awarded to female students who are nationals of, and ordinarily resident in, a developing country, who are admitted to pursue a postgraduate taught Masters programme within the College of Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University.

Benefits:

The beneficiary of Eira Francis Davies Scholarship will receive a full waiver in tuition fee.

Eligibility:

Applicants must fulfill all of the eligibility criteria listed below.

  • hold a minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification
  • Likewise, have accepted an offer to study an eligible, full-time, postgraduate taught Masters programme within the College of Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University.
  • Also, should meet English language ability standards as stipulated within their condition of the offer and UKVI requirements
  • Must be female
  • be a new student to Swansea University
  • Also, within their application, demonstrate strong academic ability and financial need
  • Similarly, be a national of, and ordinarily resident in, a non-EU, developing country. Moreover, the countries in the list of World Bank Country and Lending Groups classification counts as being low or low to middle income.
  • not be eligible for any other financial support from Swansea University e.g. tuition fee reductions through collaborative links, scholarships or bursaries. Please note students progressing from The College, Swansea University is not eligible to apply for an international scholarship.

Applicants may apply if they fulfill the eligibility requirement. Moreover, the applicant must be pursuing a full-time postgraduate taught Masters program in the College of Human and Health Sciences.
