Africa Prime Initiative (API) Grants 2024 for Senegalese Artists

In 2024, Africa Prime Initiative (API) continues its mission to uplift Senegalese artists, collaborating with local partners to empower emerging talents and promote authentic representations of diverse African cultures globally. Through grant projects, API fosters career growth and supports various artistic disciplines like film, photography, and contemporary art, amplifying the voices of Senegalese creatives on the international stage.

API began a  meaningful partnership with Loman Art, an independent gallery in Senegal. Driven by a shared vision of championing emerging African talent, the collaboration offers a powerful opportunity for Senegalese artists.

The new partnership provides Senegalese emerging artists with funding through grants, with Loman Art providing professional insights throughout the entire creative process. The grant amount received by each winning artist depends on the scope detailed in the creative’s applications as well as the joint decisions made between API and Loman Art. Upon completion of the artwork, Loman Art will curate an exhibition to showcase the creations of the selected artists, providing a platform for their work to be appreciated by a wider audience.
