GSG is searching once again for global champions lighting the path for the future of impact investment. The GSG Impact Investment Award – delivered in partnership with Pioneers Post – are annual awards for game-changers who commit to investment that optimizes risk, return and impact to benefit people and the planet.

Created by the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG), the award harnesses the energy of governments, agencies, and entrepreneurs across the world to “drive forward the growth of the impact investment market to a tipping point by 2020”. Moreover, GSG will present the awards at the GSG Impact Summit 2019 in Santiago, Chile, which takes place on 18-19 November. Further, SG will fly the winners to Santiago to receive the honors from Sir Ronald Cohen, founding Chair of GSG. Furthermore, GSG will reimburse return travel and accommodation expenses up to an agreed amount for the winners.

GSG Impact Investment Award

GSG will present two impact awards in the Impact Summit 2019. The awards:

• Impact entrepreneur of the year – honor for leaders with catalytic impact on lives as well as planet through profit with purpose companies (social enterprises), non-government organizations or non-profit social service providers with earned-income models.
• Impact market builder of the year – honor for a government, policy think-tank or professional services company that pushes thought leadership in the impact sector as well as catalyzes impact investment. Moreover, the winner must demonstrate acceptance through a few major clients from among capital providers, entrepreneurs, and intermediaries. Exceptional individuals may be considered.

How to apply for the Impact Investment Award?

Exceptional individuals who contribute to impact the lives of citizens all over the world may apply for the award. The application will require the candidates to complete and submit the online application form. Moreover, the candidates may only compete in one of the aforementioned categories. As well as the candidates must submit a separate form for either of these categories:

• Impact entrepreneur of the year
• Impact market builder of the year 

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the GSG Impact Investment Award is on 31 July 2019. GSG will not consider applications eligible should they arrive after the deadline.
