Applicants are welcome for this years Huawei Next-Image Awards. The HUAWEI NEXT-IMAGE Awards are committed to exploring alongside all HUAWEI mobile users the possibilities of next-generation smartphone photography and also, videography. In addition, HUAWEI has joined hands with outstanding visual platforms, communities, and media to redefine the “NEXT-IMAGE” visual language as the world’s new common photography catchphrases that will open exciting, new avenues of interaction.
Moreover, After initial submission, all approved submissions will be reviewed and from these, a number will be shortlisted for the next competition phase. The next round of selection will then see a preliminary jury selected by HUAWEI choose 5,000 images for the final stage of the contest. For final selection, a panel of judges will be invited to choose the winners.
Further, Huawei Next-Image Awards consists of six conceptual categories.

• • Faces: Experimenting with identity and the power of portraiture
  • Going the distance: Discovering new places and new experiences thereby using new features of a phone camera, for instance, telelens, super wide angle or macro-shooting
  • Storyboard: Telling a story in 9 frames – a grid of photos that develop a meaningful or intriguing narrative.
  • #Emotion Tag: Expressing instant emotions by means of photography
  • Hello, Life!: Sharing the emotion or the inspiration in everyday experiences
  • Life Now: Filming stories in less than 30 seconds.
