KidsRights Foundations calls applications for International Children’s Peace Prize 2020. The International Children’s Peace Prize is an annual award that is open to a child who fights courageously for children’s rights. Winning this prestigious prize puts the winner as a changemaker in news headlines around the world.

Prize and Benefits 

The International Children’s Peace Prize is awarded annually to a child, anywhere in the world, for his or her dedication to children’s rights. The International Children’s Peace Prize is a sign of recognition for the young winner. The winner receives the statuette ‘Nkosi’, which shows how a child sets the world in motion. In addition to that, the winner also gets a study grant and a worldwide platform to promote his or her ideals and causes to the benefit of children’s rights. Furthermore, a winner will have an opportunity to receive a project fund of €100,000 is invested by KidsRights in projects that are closely connected to the winners’ area of work.

Requirements

  • This program is open to children from all over the world who are above 12 years and under 18 years of age. The child should not be older than 17 years by the time of the nomination deadline)
  • The child must have a clear history of standing up and fighting for the rights of him/herself and other children. In addition to that, the child must have an active approach in accomplishing this goal, which has led to a concrete result.
  • The child must possess the ability to travel abroad and feel comfortable communicating with other people.
  • Furthermore, the child must have the interest to be the nominee on International Children Peace Prize.

KidsRight 

The KidsRights Foundation is an international children’s aid and advocacy organization based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. KidsRights promotes the wellbeing of very vulnerable children across the world and advocates the realization of their rights. KidsRights sees children as changemakers in this process. However, this competition is one of the key platforms that KidsRights facilitates.
