KIWW organizes Global Water Challenge, an international contest for water solutions, since 2015. As a follow-up activity of the 7th World Water Forum, Korea International Water Week (KIWW) holds the World Water Challenge annually. The program aims to discover imminent water problems that the world is facing and to find feasible solutions to them.
Moreover, KIWW 2019 will hold the World Water Challenge 2019 as one of its signature programs. Further, the program will take place in September in Daegu Metropolitan City, Republic of Korea. This 5th edition of Global Water Challenge will serve its role as an important platform to share the ideas and know-how towards solving the defined water issues around the world and to forge a tailored network among the water-related experts and stakeholders.
The total prize amount for the World Water Challenge 2019 is KRW 16,000,000(approx. 16,000 USD). The Award Ceremony will be held on September 6th at the closing ceremony of KIWW 2019 as well as the winners will be presented with a cash prize and trophy respectively.
Participants may submit their solution to the Global Water Challenge via the online portal. Prior to submitting the solution, however, the candidates must register for an account. Moreover, the solutions to the World Water Challenge will require to meet the standards set by the KIWW 2019.
The KIWW Global Water Challenge 2019 is open for application from 27 June 2019. Participants may register and submit their solution until 28 July 2019.
