The Master of Integrated Water Management creates water leaders by drawing on international teaching and research from many fields to provide a trans-disciplinary, whole-of-water-cycle approach to water management. Hence, International WaterCenter is offering fully funded Scholarships in Masters in Integrated Water Management MIWM.

The program aims to build the capacity of future leaders in water management, with an emphasis on professionals working in WASH and development, urban water management and across water, land, and people. Moreover, the program equips students with practical tools and skills for developing and managing the adoption of innovative solutions to local, regional, national and international water management issues. Further, students will develop the strategic, managerial and technical skills they need to advance in the water sector.

Skilled water leaders are critical to addressing complex water challenges across the world. As such, the IWC will grant an IWC Master’s Scholarship to all international applicants who apply, are accepted into, and enroll in the postgraduate program of Integrated Water Management as self-funded, full-time students.

Benefits

Value for this scholarship is AU$95,564, which covers:

  • full tuition fees for full-time study of Master of Integrated Water Management
  • Likewise, living expenses remuneration
  • Further, return air travel to Australia
  • university student amenities fee
  • cost of a student visa for a single student
  • Also, the cost of overseas student health cover for a single student.

Eligibility

  • A completed undergraduate degree in a related field of study from an internationally recognized institution.
  • At least two years of professional experience (paid work or volunteering experience relevant to the program). Although it is not essential for entry in the MIWM program. Also, Candidates with more than two years of relevant professional experience have a higher chance of securing a scholarship.
  • International candidates must also demonstrate English language proficiency (ELP). Applicants must meet the ELP requirements for admission for the scholarship selection.
  • Scholarships do not include funding to undertake English language courses through the Griffith English Language Institute (GELI). However, Scholarship applicants are not considerable in the selection round if they choose to undertake courses through GELI.
  • Scholarship applicants must receive a full offer of admission into the MIWM program from Griffith University to be considered in the scholarship selection. Information on how to apply for admission is found on the Griffith website.

How To Apply

Application for the fully funded International WaterCenter MIWM scholarships can be made only after securing a place Masters in Integrated Water Management at Griffith University. Application for the master’s program at Griffith University will require students to make online registration and pay a non-refundable fee of AU$50.

After confirming a place at the Griffith University, eligible applicants may make a submission for the fully funded MIWM scholarships at International WaterCenter. Application for the scholarship is an online process. Applicants will require to submit a recent CV as well as two reference letters.

Deadline

Students may apply for the fully funded International WaterCenter MIWM Scholarships at the latest by August 1, 2019. Applicants who do not apply for the scholarship before the deadline are not eligible for the scholarship.
