The Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition celebrates and nurtures purpose-driven ventures that seek to address systemic inequities in education through innovation.

The Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition is considered the most prestigious and well-funded education business plan competition, attracting innovative ideas from around the world. Since 2010, the competition has awarded more than $2 million in cash prizes. Winners and finalists have gone on to secure more than $200 million in funding.

Eligibility for Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan

  • Anyone who is under 18 years old;
  • Open to education ventures with innovative solutions to educational inequity from around the world, especially those ventures founded by and serving individuals from marginalized and historically underrepresented communities.
  • They encourage applicants working in every conceivable educational setting-from early childhood through corporate and adult training.
  • They also welcome both nonprofit and for-profit submissions.

Application of Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan

EBPC applicants should describe an issue in education that their venture addresses, offer their venture’s solution, and discuss scaling possibilities to demonstrate the equitable outcomes their proposed innovation can bring to the field of education and additional settings.

Application will be accepted through on February 19, with semifinalists being announced this summer and an in-person Final Pitch Competition to be held this fall.
