Applications are open for the PREZIOSA Young Jewelry Makers Competition In Italy. Since 2008, “PREZIOSA YOUNG”, is an international competition apply to worldwide emerging artists, goldsmiths, designers. The aim is to give to the circulation of what is new in research jewelry, as well as showcase what the new generations of goldsmiths/designers/artists are “brewing”.For each edition, an international jury by curators, artists and critics select a small number of young artists from all those who submit their candidature. Further, The names of the jurors who took part in the previous selections can be seen here. Selected artists will be exhibited in specially designed exhibition spaces at PREZIOSA Exhibition, Florence Jewellery Week. Also, a high-quality catalog will be published, to introduce the selected artists with a short biography, full-color images and a description of the work.

Benefit

• PREZIOSA prize: Presentation of the works of the participants will be in May-June 2019, also, in Florence, in conjunction with FLORENCE JEWELLERY WEEK 2019, and a full-color catalog will be published.
• LAO special prize: One of the artists is to Florence for a period of one to three months, as Artist in residence.
• Inhorgenta prize: One of the artists will get free space for participation as an exhibitor to the 2020’s edition of the fair.

Note:
Entries are free of charge apart from the costs for the shipment and related insurance of the items to and from Florence for the selected artists. Insurance during the exhibitions is at the charge of the organizer.

Eligibility

• Applicants must not be older than 35 years by the end of 2018.
• The objects made must be wearable.
