Are you ready to tell the entire world about your world, perspective, feelings, what you see, your philosophy, what you know and hear? How about inviting people from all across the world to this journey to discover? Turkish Airlines’ world-spanning photography contest is beginning. Held last year under the theme of “The City and the Child” and participated by 9,300 photographs evaluated by an international jury, the magnificent contest’s theme this year is “Discover.” The application for the 3rd International Skylife Photography Competitions begins on January 15. Organized by renowned international federations of the art of photography such as the FIAP, GPU, and UIP, and the Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey (TFSF), the contest’s deadline for application is August 25, 2019. Open to professional and amateur photographs from all around the world, the contest will reward a gold, silver and bronze medal and honorable mentions on behalf of each federation.

Awards + Prizes

The contest will present flight tickets worth

• $12,000 for the first prize
• $6,000 for the second prize
• $3,000 for the third prize.

Further, the top three photographers selected by the FIAP, GPU, and TFSF will receive flight tickets worth of $1,000 each.

Who can apply?

• Participation in the contest is free of charge.
• Further, All participants must be of the age of 18.
• All photographers, amateur or professional, may apply for the contest. However, relatives of the judging committee may not enter the competition.
• Using photoshop or such similar software are acceptable unless it disturbs the characteristics of the photo.
• Also, Each contestant may only submit four photographs (monochrome or colored).

How To Apply?

To enter the Skylife International Photography Competitions, artists may only submit photographs via online submission. No alternatives are acceptable for the submission of photographs. Moreover, the contestants will require to adhere by the rules of submission which states:

• Contest photographs must be saved in the jpg/jpeg format, 150-300 dpi and 7-12 compression quality, with a short edge of minimum 1920 pixels and a long edge of maximum 3200 pixels, and the size of the files should not be less than 2 Mb and more than 4 Mb.
• Further, File names should not include more than 31 characters. File names should not include the characters “ç, ı, ğ, ö, ş, ü”. English letters and underscore character ( _ ) may be used.
•  Also, All letters should be lowercase letters, except for country codes and section definition

Deadline

Entrants must make their submission for Skylife International Photography Competitions on 25 August 2019 at the latest. Turkish airline will not accept the entries arriving post-deadline
